Oracle Administrative System: Self Service Applications 

Payroll Customer Service is available to assist employees and trainees with access to payroll and other personal information contained in the Oracle Administrative System: Self Service Applications.  Three self service stations are available in the Payroll lobby located in the Administration Building on the 2nd floor.

To access the system from any computer, go to and click on Oracle HR & Finance.  You will be asked to provide your Blazer ID and strong password.  If you do not have a Blazer ID, or cannot remember your Blazer ID or Password, go to and follow the prompts given.  If you need assistance, contact AskIT via email ( or phone (996-5555).

Completing Your Payroll Information

To make sure that your payroll information is processed properly, complete each of the following steps.  You must have your Blazer ID and a strong password before you can complete this process.  Set up Blazer ID and password at  Your Blazer ID will not be active for 24 hours.

  • Submit your Federal Tax information electronically
  • Submit your State Tax information electronically
  • Submit your Direct Deposit information electronically

Self Service Views

The UAB Self Service Views responsibility provides the ex-employee, ex-trainee or ex-volunteer viewable only access to their personal information, assignment history and salary history in the Oracle Administrative System.  The ex-employee and ex-trainee can view their biweekly/monthly Payslips issued during their employment or traineeship at UAB, as well as, their W-2 statements; ex-employee's also have the ability to create an Employment Verification Report (including or excluding salary) for the period of time in which they were employed with UAB.
